Born in Tonga, he was a tree climber and trimmer for county Parks and Recreation, secretary for Free Church of Tonga and member of Kalapu Kaikava. Visitation and service 8 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Sept. 21) at Free Church of Tonga, 15-1518 17th Ave. in Keaau. Burial 3 p.m. at Alae Cemetery. Black buttoned-shirt attire. Survived by wife, Pipiena Lavemai; sons, Sione Lavemai, Sione Tui Heimuli and Tevita Lavemai; daughter, Simaima Lavemai; siblings, Alilia (Semisi) Moniati, Veuki Teisina, Ikani (Uini) Latu, Anepua (Inoke) Veamatahau, Tevita (Maata) Lavemai, Veisinia (Andrew) Fakaosi and Atapani (Suliana) Lavemai; two grandchildren.
